Otitis media with effusion probably remains under-diagnosed among the children because, routine outpatient otological procedures often fail to detect it. This study was undertaken to evaluate the role of tympanom~try in the diagnosis of this entity. Two hundred children with clinically suspected bilateral otitis media with effusion were
