STUDY ON DRUG RESISTANCE AND R+ FACTORS IN FAECAL ESCH. COLI ISOLATED FROM PATIENTS BEFORE AND AFTER HOSPITALISATION.

Faecal Esch. coli isolated from 52 individuals before and after they were hospitalised at IPGMR were tested for drug resistance against various antibiotics. At the time of hospitalisation of these individuals, 19{36.5%) of 52 Esch. coli were resistant to one or more antibiotics out of which 14 (73.7%) were autotransferable.
