A study of the stool samples from 593 subjects of Dhaka city was made for the presence of hookworm. Among the = 473 (63%) helminth positive cases, 47 (7.9%) were p:>sitive for hookworm. Nec3.tor americanus (NA) was found to be the pr~d(jminant species (68%). The highest incidence of hookworm was found in the age grou~of 5-10 years
