Four hundred and seventy five working women in Dhaka Metropolitan area, Bangladesh were interviewed by structured questionnaire. Of these 38.9% were breast feeding currently, 13.8% had completed breast feeding six months before the time of interview, 38.3% had breast fed their babies in the past and 9% had never breast fed their babies.
