This study was dane an a series af 132 vesico-vaginal fistula (V. V. F.) cases to.assess the social factars that are related to.this marbidity and its psycha-sacial effects an them. Abaut 54% af the respondents develaped VVF as an autcome af their first pregnancy and none af them had a living child. Of this 39% were in the age group af 15-20 years. About 68% were illiterate and 22% had received farmal educatian far up to.5 years. Fifty two. percent afthe subjects had a family income af up to. Tk. 1,000 anly per manth.
